Human rights violations in Singapore (#ReturnOurCPF court trial)
Dear all,
During the 4 days trial from 13 to 16 Oct 2015, there were a total of 13 witnesses from the 4 public prosecutors.
During the 3 days trial from 24 to 26 Feb 2016, there was only 1 witness – Samantha Wong Yuwei, the Investigation Officer in charge of this case.
However, during the 6 hours of cross examination in court, she claimed that the police report that caused us to be charged is confidential.
We do not have access to what caused us to be charged for “common intention” to be a public nuisance and for me to be charged for “illegal demonstration”.
In addition, during the cross examination, she has mainly two kinds of replies:
“I am not in a position to comment on this” or “I cannot recall”
Singapore’s court said that the transcript for the second tranche will be made available to us 3 weeks later to enable us to make our written submission by 18 Apr 2016.
When it was questioned why did the transcript for the first tranche was rejected by the court and only made available to us 4 months later, the judge said that it was because the transcript was not ready.
This is different from what the Singapore’s court emailed us.
Transcript and what conspired during the first tranche of the #ReturnOurCPF case are available at http://huihui247.blogspot.com
Please let us know if anyone will be able to help us with our written submission as none of us are legally trained and we have no lawyers ever since our previous lawyer had his license suspended.
Thanks.
Regards,
Han Hui Hui
